what's hot what's not
Further Adventures in Plumbing
JB WELD solves problems. This is not to say that the line will not be replaced, just not today or tomorrow
Of course there is collateral damage, a bit of the carpet has to go...
Plumbing is the one part of home ownership I loathe. My blinding hatred of plumbing knows no bounds. From supply lines to wax toilet rings, I would rather eat cockroaches.
Adventures in Plumbing
I woke up this morning and went down the hall to the kitchen for coffee. Actually I squished down the hall. This is the culprit. A 3/8'' elbow on the cold side of my shower.
In order to find this I had to do this.
In order to determine that this is where we needed to go , we had to start here.
Being Sunday and my plumber taking the day off, I needed to seal the leak. Surfing the web brought me here. The Pipe Repair kit would have been just the ticket to repair this. The only problem is that Home Depot nor Ace Hardware carry it. So we are using JB WELD. Hopefully I will be taking a shower in a couple of hours when this cures.
Looking for Doc's Laptop
Doc Searls had his laptop and glasses stolen the other day. He needs it back. This is what he looks like and what his laptop looks like.
Hiding Content [Posted] 12/11/02
One of the re-occurring themes that appear on design lists is 'hiding content', or making one's code invisible. Most of the solutions just don't work. The internet is not about hiding stuff. But in the interest of fairness I can offer a proven method of hiding content.

Mitch Ratcliffe is definitely an other. The 21st century holds the promise of rich multimedia across the web. Mitch was blazing this trail in the 20th century. From code to finance.
