Internet Scout Project
The Scout Report is the flagship publication of the Internet Scout Project. Published every Friday, continuously since 1994, the Scout Report is one of the Internet's oldest and most respected publications. It provides a fast, convenient way to stay informed of valuable resources on the Internet.
They have run out of funding and no longer provide the weekly reports, but they do have a Weblog. Which is were I found the link to the following note.
The Way the web Was
Deja.org has a glimpse into the way the web was. You can check out sites in older browsers. This can be very helpful if you are concerned about building websites that are available regardless of platform.
Not everybody has the latest toys or cares.
Microsoft is asking you to believe that there is nothing up their sleeve.
If you believe them in view of the Hailstorm, Passport, .Net and recent Smart Tag debacle, you really need to turn off your machine and go out and play in traffic until the inevitable fatality occurs.
But don't take my word for it.
There is a new technology that threatens the web. Microsoft's Internet Explorer 6.0
The quest for control of presentation by designers has taken many turns. From the first graphic browsers in 1994 to the sophisticated tools for creating webpages and managing content available today , designers have used the web to display the fruits of their labors.
