Michael Fraase runs a site called Arts & Farces which brings us this link on why copy protected CD's are killing Macs. He says,
"This is the most cogent explanation I’ve seen of how and why copy-protected CDs can crash and even damage your computer."
Even if you don't have a Mac, this is worth your time.
De Mock cracy
In response to evidence that anybody with a pulse can understand, the intelligence community is undergoing examination by our elected representatives to fix the blame rather than fix the problem regarding the competition of our domestic and international intelligence agencies.
They are having 'closed door' hearings in an attempt to generate candor on the part of the agencies involved.
An article in the New York Times, complete with sound bytes and party affiliations is outlining the turf war developing on how to fix the blame.
Here's a tip for you. Fix the Problem. Let them talk to each other and share.
But these hearings are not about fixing problems they are about votes and re-election.
Governor Jesse Ventura of Minnesota made this observation:
"We just had a major story here in Minnesota that lobbyists spent $43,000 per legislator. That's more than a legislator's salary. Now if that's not a wake-up call to the public of what is indeed running our government, it ought to be."
