Accessibility - the Good News
Building Accessible Websites by Joe Clark is in print and is available. Joe, who we have interviewed here, is probably the best authority on accessibility, breathing today. Having 'dive into mark' Mark Pilgrim as technical editor is a plus.
I am waiting for a copy and will write a review when I get it.
Accessibility - the Bad News
Judge Patricia A. Seitz has dismissed the lawsuit brought by Access Now and Robert Gumson against Southwest Airlines for violating the ADA regarding the Southwest claim that their website is not a public accommodation. Fine.
In sworn testimony, "Southwest reports approximately 46% or over 500 Million dollars of it's passenger revenue for the first quarter of 2002 came from their website." I wonder how many guys with trench coats and pockets it would take to make those kind of sales figures.
Southwest may have won in court, but my money will be spent with others.
Accessibility - the weird
My new television does this on channel 15 with rabbit ears. It is a Toshiba with a VCR and a DVD player.
Why is my tv trying to surf? any answers would be appreciated!!
